Improvement’s over 3D Worldbuilder / Webmaker
-
Transform gizmo – helps in moving (or rotating or scaling) objects by restricting motion along the x, y or z axis.
-
Revolve – the scene camera can be made to revolve around the selected object. This makes it possible to view the
object from every direction
-
Can display 1, 2 or 4 views of the loaded scene simultaneously.
-
Experts mode maximizes the screen area used for displaying views by hiding the toolbar
and workspace. Very useful when you know all the hotkeys for the toolbar.
-
Selection list – for quickly and precisely selecting single/multiple objects.
-
Undo redo for almost all actions.
-
Zooming in/out is supported apart from moving the camera in/out.
-
Duplicate selected groups – easily create linear arrays of duplicate objects.
-
Align objects – very easy to use alignment tool.
-
Zoom extents – this automatically moves the
scene camera such that the image drawn of the 3d object selected utilizes
maximum view area. This is very useful as it saves you time in locating
objects.
-
Switch between Wireframe and Bounding box modes.
-
Create primitives: Plane, Box, Sphere, Cone, Cylinder, Torus.
-
2 sub object levels supported. Point & Polygon modes.
-
Movement, rotation and scale transformation can
be applied at object level as well as either of the 2 sub object levels.
This means selected points or polygons can also be rotated or scaled about
their average center.
-
Multiple polygons can be extruded and beveled.
-
A texture coordinate editor is also provided to help you edit texture coordinates quickly and precisely.
-
-
2D Animations - you
can add more than one images at once, this saves time and effort when
creating animations with large number of frames.
-
Cameras and Lights can be moved and rotated just
as groups in the scene. They are visible!
-
Hide unselected objects & Unhide all objects. Very useful when editing a single object and
you don’t want the other objects to come in the way.
-
Create circular or custom tracks. Move rotate or
scale tracks or track points. You can also insert and delete track points.
